KISSYFUR AND BEEHONIE'S UNDER THE MISTLETOE SONGFIC

Our songfic opens up down in Paddlecab County where it is the night of Christmas Eve, and all the residents, except for the gators, of course, have gathered together for a Christmas party. While everybody else is having a good time, Kissyfur is standing further away from the crowd, looking at all the snow falling. He even steals a glance at a sprig of mistletoe dangling from a tree branch.

KISSYFUR: (singing)

Over on another side of the party, Beehonie the rabbit is also marveling at the sights of the Christmas atmosphere, including the mistletoe.

Kissyfur, on the other hand, has already noticed that he'd standing under the mistletoe. He tugs at his collar.

KISSYFUR: (singing)
Maybe I'll just stand here
And no one will know
I'm under the mistletoe

(spoken) Boy, this party sure is crowded!

Miss Emmy Lou, the schoolteacher, walks up to him with a tray of freshly baked Christmas cookies.

MISS EMMY LOU: Here, Kissyfur, would you like some fresh Christmas cookies?

The delicious smell of the cookies reaches Kissyfur's nose, and his mouth begins to water.

KISSYFUR: Oh, you bet! Thanks, Miss Emmy!

Kissyfur grabs a handful of cookies and begins stuffing his face with them. Miss Emmy giggles as she watches on. Then she walks off. Just then, Beehonie has just appeared right in front of Kissyfur.

BEEHONIE: Hey, Kissyfur!

KISSYFUR: Oh, hey, Beehonie!

BEEHONIE: Great party, huh?

KISSYFUR: Yeah, great. Mmm! Miss Emmy sure makes some mean Christmas cookies, doesn't she?

BEEHONIE: You said it!

KISSYFUR: I gotta tell my dad!

BEEHONIE: Yeah, I know how you and your dad feel about her cooking!

KISSYFUR: Mm-hmm! Say, uh, can I squeeze past you? I wanna get some more food.

BEEHONIE: Oh, uh, sure.

KISSYFUR: Thanks!

Kissyfur and Beehonie start to walk past each other, but wind up getting stuck due to the crowd. They struggle until eventually getting free and end up separate once again as they resume their somewhat, uh... distant duet.

KISSYFUR: (singing)

Unbeknownst to both of them, they're now moving closer to each other again.

KISSYFUR: (singing)
Maybe I'll stand here

BEEHONIE: (singing)

I might let him know

KISSYFUR: (singing)

I just might get... (sees Beehonie standing in front of him AGAIN) Uh oh!

BEEHONIE: (spoken) Hey, Kissyfur. Did you get something to eat?

KISSYFUR: (spoken) Oh, uh, not yet. I was just gonna.

BEEHONIE: (looking up) Say, Kissyfur, did you notice we're standing under the mistletoe?

KISSYFUR: What?

Kissyfur looks up and sees for himself that they are INDEED standing under the mistletoe! Before he can react, however, Beehonie throws her arms around him and plants a big wet one on his cheek. This catches the attention of all the other partygoers. Soon, Beehonie lets go with a sweet loving smile, while Kissyfur puts his paw on his cheek and blushes mightily.

BEEHONIE: What'd you think of that?

KISSYFUR: Whoa, mama!

GUS: (chuckling) Well!

MISS EMMY LOU: Isn't that sweet!

Lenny Warthog, the local bully, can't resist making fun of this sweet moment.

LENNY: (taunting) Sissyfur's in love! Sissyfur's in...!

Miss Emmy cuts him off by grabbing his snout.

MISS EMMY LOU: I'm warning you, Lenny Warthog!

Miss Emmy lets go of his snout.

LENNY: (nervous) Heh heh heh heh heh, just kidding!

Kissyfur looks back at Beehonie, who sweetly offers him a paw. Kissyfur takes it in his and they both go together to get something to eat. Everybody continues to have a good time at the Christmas party as the songfic draws to a close.
